Ali Marcus: News
"Minnesota" video - an anti-war protest song. - July 3, 2008
Dear Listeners:
I wrote a song. Surprise, right? Well this is an anti-war song. It's a protest song. It's a campaigning song for Barack Obama. It's a folk song.
I think it's a little dark but ultimately uplifiting. Like America. Happy 4th!
To be clear, "that's the change we need, Minnesota" was the "chorus" of Obama's speech in Minnesota the night he won the nomination.
Thanks to

Also the harmonica makes a few appearances. Make sure to sign up for the mailing list (above, top right corner) to stay in the loop. Happy Summer!

Blog Land - April 23, 2007
Ali keeps a blog called "moments before the wind." The last few months of album recording and promoting has pulled her away from high-volume blogging, but she is at it full force this week due to the EMP Pop Conference, a yearly music critic/cultural analysis extravaganza that inspires her with enough fuel to keep on keepin' on for months and months to come. Check out her musings here:
